Many people ask me what they should do to remedy or offset the discomfort they have from either:

A. Their lifestyle of many hours sitting: at work, while commuting, studying, and sitting as they unwind from all the aforementioned (in a couch, bed or staring at a phone)

OR

B. Repetitive injuries from pursuing cardio and conditioning classes or from serious injuries that never seem to fully leave our bodies.

Releasing the stuck parts takes time and breath.

We don't stretch

We unwind tension & hydrate joints.

So that you can function more fully.

In order to access full range of motion and make lasting changes we need to hold poses for around 5 minutes (depending on the pose). If we become less active our connective tissue becomes brittle, if we add bursts of activity and aren’t ready to move freely we end up with injuries that lead us back to sedentary lifestyle. This cycle can be so frustrating!

We can offset all of that by moving into our Yin positions carefully and patiently, breathing fully, staying hydrated and creating resilience in our joints & connective tissue in safety and efficiency of our Yin yoga poses.
